We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Photographer and Photo Archive Intern/Part-Time to assist in photography coverage of large and small events, occasional game coverage, and management of meta tagging and organization of our Digital Photo Archive. This role offers hands-on experience in capturing dynamic images that represent our brand across a variety of events and campaigns. The ideal candidate will be passionate about photography, highly organized, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment. The role will start January 27, 2025. This intern/part-time role has a cap of 30 hours per week.
What You Will Do:
- Capture high-quality photos at various events, including sales events, charity fundraisers, HR activities, corporate gatherings, and other small and large-scale events.
- Occasionally assist with game-day photography, working with our social media and creative team, ensuring the images capture the energy and excitement of the game and fit within our brand photography standards. This intern/part-time role is not for game or player coverage, however, some specialty game photos may be needed.
- Work with event organizers to understand the key moments and required shots for each event.
- Photography of interior club spaces in the arena and practice facilities.
- Conduct photoshoots for merchandise, ensuring professional, clean, and appealing imagery for marketing materials and online platforms.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align photography with campaign goals and brand standards.
- Organize, tag, and maintain the company’s photo archive to ensure easy access and usability.
- Perform photo searches and fulfill requests from various departments, delivering images promptly.
- Implement consistent file-naming and tagging conventions to streamline photo retrieval.
What We Need From Our Photographer/Photo Archive Intern:
- Experience or familiarity with sports photography, portrait or lifestyle photography.
- Proficiency in photography equipment, including DSLRs, lenses, and lighting setups.
- Experience with photo editing software such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, or similar tools.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed for events.
- Knowledge of digital asset management systems.
- Basic videography and video editing skills are a plus.
- Real estate and interior design photography experience is a major plus.
- Strong portfolio showcasing previous work in sports/event graphics.
- Excellent visual design skills with attention to detail and a good eye for aesthetics.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Experience/ Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of professional photography experience
