Who We Are Looking For:
Phoenix Tailings is seeking a dynamic and hands-on HR Manager to lead human resources operations at our new Exeter, NH or Burlington, MA facility. This role will focus on building and implementing HR processes, ensuring compliance with HR policies and labor regulations, and fostering a positive workplace culture. The ideal candidate has experience in manufacturing environments and excels in both operational execution and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage core HR processes at facility, including payroll, benefits administration, and compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Oversee daily HR operations, including onboarding, employee relations, and performance management.
- Manage employee life cycle processes, from onboarding and performance management to offboarding.
- Maintain accurate personnel records and ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and company policies.
- Foster a positive, inclusive culture aligned with Phoenix Tailings’ mission and values.
- Collaborate with leaders on recruitment strategies and assist with timely staffing.
- Champion employee engagement initiatives, communication, and conflict resolution.
- Coordinate and support training programs for skill development and compliance.
- Provide regular updates to leadership on HR activities, potential issues, and recommended improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.
- 5 years of HR experience, with a strong preference for candidates with a background in manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Proven experience in HR operations, compliance, and employee relations.
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, labor laws, and best practices, particularly in New Hampshire or the Northeast.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in a startup or rapidly growing organization is preferred
- Familiarity with safety programs and protocols in a manufacturing setting.
