Who We Are Looking For:
Phoenix Tailings is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst with a strong accounting foundation, exceptional financial modeling skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic startup environment. This role is critical in building scalable financial processes and driving strategic decision-making through robust financial and economic modeling. Experience in innovative or technology-driven industries is highly valued.
\n- Build comprehensive financial models from the ground up to evaluate business opportunities, assess financial viability, and support strategic planning.
- Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to inform decision-making and assess potential risks.
- Incorporate economic factors, market trends, and industry dynamics into financial models to enhance accuracy and relevance.
- Develop and manage financial forecasts, including revenue growth, profitability, and cash flow projections.
- Support the creation and refinement of long-term financial plans and capital allocation strategies.
- Collaborate with business units to translate operational plans into detailed financial projections.
- Provide insights into economic trends and their implications on company performance.
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and present findings to senior leadership.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial performance and recommend actionable strategies.
- Prepare clear and concise presentations and reports to communicate financial data, insights, and recommendations to senior management and investors.
- Ensure financial data integrity and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis and modeling, preferably in manufacturing, mining, or technology-driven industries.
- Expertise in building financial models from scratch using Excel or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and economic concepts.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, startup environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present complex financial information clearly.
- Self-starter with a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.
