8 HOUR CTE/GRADUATION SPECIALIST
Phoenix High School
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This position is 8 hours per day, 190 days per year, beginning as soon as possible.
JOB DESCRIPTION: The CTE Specialist is expected to provide support for the Career and Technical Education curriculums; work collaboratively with school officials and teachers to ensure the delivery of career development services; provide support for services that increase graduation and support to the counseling department. CTE Specialist will seek out and apply for grants that would benefit the school and the communities (Phoenix, Talent & Medford) that Phoenix High School serves.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience improving student performance in demographically diverse schools.
- Demonstrate success working collaboratively with educators in establishing goals, objectives, and action plans to increase student achievement knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Knowledge of components of quality CTE program.
- Knowledge and skills in data analysis relating to CTE and inclusive of proficiency and certification.
- Strong interpersonal skills that lead to an effective working relationship with all internal and external customers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to deliver technical assistance in a form understood by customers and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong analytic and interpretation skills.
- Ability to orchestrate change.
- Ability to meet tight timeframes.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish highly desirable
- Physical demands needed: ability to communicate with students, co-workers, and the public; ability to communicate over the telephone; ability to respond to telephone, bells, students, co-workers, etc.; ability to respond to classroom disturbances, visual cues, student requests, etc.; ability to read written materials; ability to operate office equipment; ability to carry or lift light loads (25 lbs).
