TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This position begins in August 2025
JOB DESCRIPTION: Teaching ELD at the secondary level. The position will also involve academically supporting ELL students both in a support center setting as well as through team teaching in content area classrooms. Communicate frequently with parents and families of English learners about school programs and student performance.

- Fluent in reading, writing and speaking Spanish and English.
- Ability to collaborate with school staff to develop and implement instruction for English learners, provide support for English learners in the general classroom, provide instructional resources for teachers who support English learners.
- Knowledgeable about research-based instructional techniques and strategies for English learners.
- Strong understanding of second language acquisition.
- Ability to establish positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Physical demands needed: ability to communicate with students, co-workers, and the public; ability to communicate over the telephone; ability to respond to telephone, bells, students, co-workers, etc.; ability to respond to classroom disturbances, visual cues, student requests, etc.; ability to operate office equipment; ability to carry or lift light loads (25 lbs).
