REPORTS TO: Athletic Director/Building Administration
SALARY: As determined by negotiated salary schedule
JOB DESCRIPTION: Work with current coaching staff to develop players in the program. Assist coaches at both the varsity and JV levels. Serve as a positive role model on and off the fields. Communicate goals of program to parents and athletes. Supervise student athletes on the field, in the locker room, and on bus trips. Maintain equipment, accurate records, supplies and inventory.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience coaching soccer at high school level preferred.
- Must have played soccer at the high school level.
- Knowledge of fundamentals, strategies and techniques of play.
- Good communication skills with players, parents and staff.
- Have required certifications or ability to obtain them: ASEP/NFHS, First Aid/CPR, Concussion training, Anabolic Steroid, etc.
- Meet required driver's training for activity van usage.
- Must have a flexible work schedule to accommodate practices and matches.
PREFERENCE
- May be given to those candidates who hold a valid Oregon teaching license.
- May be given to those who are bilingual in Spanish and English.
