Food Preparation Specialist

Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated Prep Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in food preparation tasks, ensuring high-quality meals are served to our customers. This position is vital in supporting our kitchen operations and maintaining food safety standards.

Duties:
- Assist in the preparation of various dishes following recipes and portion guidelines.
- Handle food preparation tasks such as cutting, chopping, and marinating ingredients.
- Ensure all food items are stored properly and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient meal service.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines at all times.
- Assist in inventory management and stock rotation to maintain freshness of ingredients.

Experience:
- Prior experience in a Dietary department or similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food handling procedures.
- Familiarity with meal preparation and food service operations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience in a restaurant setting is a plus.
- Knowledge of menu planning and dietary aide responsibilities.
- Proficiency in using kitchen tools, including knives and kitchen equipment ex fryers, char --broiler, flattop, changing grease, proper sealing and labeling.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.75 - $16.00 per hour
