Job Summary :
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Collections Specialist to join our HOA Collections Department. The ideal candidate will have experience in collections, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of the needs and challenges faced by homeowners' associations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing delinquent accounts, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining positive relationships with residents.
Responsibilities :
Review payment history and account status to determine appropriate action.
Processing attorney checks
Assist with preparing and sending notices of late fees, penalties, and other relevant correspondence.
Collaborate with the legal team, as necessary, to escalate accounts for further action, including liens or foreclosures.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of communications, payment arrangements, and account status.
Work closely with the CAMs to achieve departmental goals and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
Requirements : Qualifications :
Paralegal Experience Required
High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred).
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in collections or customer service, preferably within an HOA or property management environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to negotiate and resolve issues professionally and efficiently.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with collections software is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
Ability to maintain professionalism and empathy while working with homeowners in difficult situations.
