The hours are M-F 6 AM to 6 PM and Sa-Su 7 : 30 AM to 4 PM. We don’t have any night shift, but pharmacists are on call during the evening hours until the start of the next shift. Days worked vary, but typically within a two week period you will work 5 week days (not consecutively) and one weekend. this job is at a critical access hospital, and is a 25 bed facility, so pharmacists here do a little bit of everything, working with MedSurg, ICU, ED, LD / OB / Nursery, Surgery, in addition to supervising our technician staff in filling the Pyxis machines, creating IVs, and processing surgical trays. They also perform medication reconciliation, discharge counseling for our meds to beds program, and respond to code blues, in addition to consulting with outpatient clinics on various questions that pop up, so its pretty varied in responsibilities.
