Responsibilities
Phraction is seeking a Reporting Analyst. Ongoing responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Reporting & Data Management:
- Utilize firm reporting systems to gather, organize, and analyze financial data to generate comprehensive reports
- Conduct thorough reconciliation and review of financial outputs to ensure accuracy
- Expertise in Excel spreadsheet creation and maintenance, including the development of complex formulas
- Monitor API data feeds rigorously to ensure data consistency and integrity
- Proficiency in leveraging query tools, dashboards, and other reporting system capabilities to extract valuable insights and facilitate informed decision-making
- Prepare and analyze Cash Flow reports (and other quantitative outputs)
- Undertake ad hoc projects as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in responding to evolving business and client requirements
· Organize investment research files into folders, ensuring easy access and retrieval of information
· Assist with gathering documents for external client tax preparation
Business Administration:
- Provide assistance with QuickBooks operations, including data entry, reconciliation, and report generation, to support efficient financial management processes
- Offer support for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions as needed, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments
- Assist with tax preparation for internal operating business purposes
- Maintain client-specific business plans which calculate internal hours spent, revenue received, and track margins to evaluate overall performance and profitability
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
· 2 years of experience in accounting roles, preferably in a similar industry or setting
· Advanced Excel skills including functions like VLOOKUP, PivotTables, etc.
· Prior experience with reporting software such as Orion Advisor Technology, Black Diamond or Addepar preferred
· Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks
· Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
· Ability to analyze financial data and identify trends or discrepancies
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
· Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with colleagues and clients
· Ability to explain complex financial information in a clear and concise manner
· Capacity to troubleshoot accounting issues and propose solutions
· Critical thinking skills to evaluate financial processes and suggest improvements
· Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
· Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and adapt to changing priorities
