Front Office Medical Receptionist Position Overview:

• Location: Ventura, CA
• Schedule: Monday, 8:00AM-12:00PM, and Tuesday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Compensation: $21/hr. – candidates with relevant experience, up to $23/hr. – for candidates with 5 years of front office experience.
• Pay is negotiable based on qualifications

Front Office Medical Receptionist Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist patients with professionalism and care
• Manage multi-line phones, route calls, and take detailed messages
• Schedule and confirm appointments, handle check-in/check-out
• Update patient records, prep charts, and obtain necessary signatures
• Verify insurance, process referrals, and obtain authorizations
• Collect co-pays and manage patient balances
• Support daily front office operations as needed

What We're Looking For:

• At least 1 year of front office medical experience
• Familiarity with Athena EHR / medical software (strongly preferred)
• Insurance verification and authorization experience is a plus—but we’ll train the right person!
• Bilingual Spanish highly preferred
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, punctual, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-based setting
