Medical Assistant | Full-Time | Surgical Practice | Oxnard, CA
A well-established surgical practice in Oxnard is seeking a friendly, professional, and experienced Medical Assistant to join their busy team. The ideal candidate will be a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is bilingual (Spanish/English), and has a solid foundation in back office medical support.
This position offers competitive pay, travel mileage reimbursement for satellite office coverage, and excellent benefits upon permanent hire.
Medical Assistant Position Details:
- Location: Based in Ventura CA office, traveling to Oxnard once a week, with mileage reimbursed (70 cents per mile) and paid travel time.
- Pay: $20-$22.75/hr. dependent on medical assistant experience
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, full-time, 8:30am - 5:30pm.

Medical Assistant Primary Responsibilities:
- Patient intake, including vitals and chief complaints
- Rooming patients and assisting in in-office procedures
- Scheduling appointments and obtaining authorizations
- Documenting in EHR and maintaining accurate patient records
- Occasional travel to nearby satellite offices in Ventura County (mileage reimbursed)
Medical Assistant Requirements:
- Bilingual (Spanish/English)
- Strong multi-tasking and teamwork skills
- Prior experience with back-office duties and electronic health records (EHR)
- Willingness to travel to local satellite locations as needed
