Medical Coder and Biller | Full-Time | Temporary Contract (3-4 Months) | Oxnard, CA
About Our Medical Coder and Biller Role:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Coder and Biller to manage medical claims and coding processes. Only candidates with prior hands-on coding experience will be considered—applicants without coding experience will not be reviewed.
This role requires proficiency in ICD-10 and CPT coding, with expertise in Medicare, Medi-Cal, PPO, and HMO billing. Experience using EMRs (preferably AllScripts) is highly preferred.
What We Offer for Our Medical Coder and Biller Role:
- Starting Rate: $25-27/hr.
- Location: Oxnard, CA
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm
Medical Coder and Biller Role Responsibilities:
- Accurate coding of surgical and E&M services
- Efficient claim submission and payment tracking
- Proactive claims follow-up and appeals handling
- Comprehensive insurance verification and collections
Medical Coder and Biller Role Qualifications:
- 2 years’ experience in medical billing and coding, and strong knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes
- Experience with general surgery and E&M coding is a plus
- Experience with a range of insurances including Medicare, Medi-Cal, PPO, and HMO insurances
