Seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Collector for a busy Ambulatory Surgery Center situated in Encino, CA.

Medical Collector Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain A/R status for patient accounts.
- Identify trends in claim denials and reimbursements.
- Process appeals for revenue recovery.
- Reconcile charge and payment discrepancies.
- Respond promptly to queries and follow-ups.
- Utilize medical coding and modifiers accurately.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and policies.
- Collaborate with insurance companies to resolve outstanding claims.
- Update patient account information and payment status.
Medical Collector Qualifications:
- 1 year experience in medical collections.
- Familiar with Worker’s Compensation and multi-specialty ASC accounts.
- Knowledge of HMO, PPO, Medicare, and Medicaid insurance types.
- Proficient in medical billing software and Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and billing codes.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
