What you will do
We are currently seeking a Field Service Engineer located in the Bay Area area to join our team. As a Field Service Engineer for Physical Electronics, you will perform installations of complex surface analysis instruments, including customer operational training. You will also carry out scheduled planned maintenance and provide repair and troubleshooting services at customer locations. This position requires frequent domestic travel, as well as periodically in eastern Canada.
This position does not directly support a fab line and does not require shift, overnight or on-call work assignments.
Qualifications
Experience with characterization and metrology a plus.
Experience with ultra-high vacuum is a plus.
Excellent, clear communication skills and the ability to cultivate positive, productive relationships with customers is a must.
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of a 2–4-year degree in electronics, physics, or engineering field, or equivalent Military electronics training.
Be able to read and interpret schematics and be able to communicate and deal effectively with customers.
Ability to travel both domestically and internationally to Eastern Canada (up to 75%) and possession of a valid passport and driver's license.
