Physical Fitness LLC is a well-established and highly respected, medically oriented fitness facility located in Branford, CT. We are a leader in the field of medical exercise with an extensive referral base from local health care providers. This year (2025) we are proud to have begun our 23rd year in business as a Fitness Center fully accredited by the Better Business Bureau of CT. Physical Fitness employs a full line of Life Fitness cardio and strength training machines as well as core, functional and therapeutic training equipment such as TRX, BOSU and Lifeline.

Currently, we are looking to hire experienced professional trainers who are personable, enthusiastic, and self-motivated. Our training approach requires individuals who possess a diversity of skills and a sincere passion for helping people improve their quality of life. Our clients are range in age from 11-95 and bring a wide array of medical issues and fitness goals, but all are hoping for real improvements through guided exercise and lifestyle changes.

Currently we are seeking both part-time and full-time individuals. Scheduling flexibility is needed, particularly a willingness to schedule morning and/or early evening hours on weekdays and (potentially) on weekends. Experience managing a training schedule is critical.

A degree in Exercise Science and/or personal training certification is preferred but not necessary, depending on real world experience. We would prefer candidates with at least 3 years' experience training clients one-on-one.

Salary is dependent on education and experience. Full time employees are offered holiday pay, paid time off, and assistance with individual health insurance after an initial period of employment; part-time employees receive certain pro-rated benefits, to be determined. All employees are offered the opportunity to contribute to an Individual Retirement Account through a payroll deduction plan.

Responsibilities

· Develop individualized training programs tailored to meet each client’s goals and needs.

· Conduct personalized fitness assessments.

· Provide expert guidance on exercise techniques, anatomy, and body mechanics to ensure safe and effective workouts.

· Maintain positive interactions with all clients, including the clients of other trainers.

· Stay updated on exercise science research and industry trends to continuously improve training methods.

· Manage personal time and individual client schedules conscientiously.

· Maintain a proactive approach to scheduling, re-scheduling, and communicating changes to clients.

· Complete timely client progress notes and maintain effective communication with referring professionals.

· Maintain accurate records, and complete all paperwork related to the success of your employment and the efficient administration of the Center.

· Participate in growing the Center's client base.

Pay: $46,000.00 - $59,000.00 per year
