Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients to develop individualized treatment plans that address their specific rehabilitation goals.
- Provide hands-on therapy and therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, exercise instruction, and modalities as appropriate.
- Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for exercises, posture, and body mechanics to prevent injury and promote recovery.
- Track and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and ensure continuity in the patient's rehabilitation process.
- Ensure the therapy area is properly maintained, including equipment cleanliness and organization.
- Supervise and provide guidance to physical therapy aides and other staff members to ensure quality care delivery.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest evidence-based practices and advancements in physical therapy.
- Manage patient records with attention to detail, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and confidentiality.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, creating a supportive and positive experience throughout their treatment journey.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to assess and treat a wide range of conditions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish rapport with patients and team members.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care with a commitment to improving patient outcomes.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and prioritize patient needs effectively.
- Must pass any required background checks or screenings as mandated by the facility.
