Job Summary
Physical Therapy Clinic of Paris is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant PTA to join our team.
Hours
- Monday - Thursday 7 am - 6 pm
- Friday 7 am - 12 pm
- Flexibility to establish a set 40-hour per week schedule within the times above.
Compensation
- $30.00 base starting rate, and tiered productivity bonus plan!
- Medical, dental, and vision benefits at 90 days, employer pays 60% of medical.
- 401k plan, automatic vesting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Assist in implementing treatment plans developed by the physical therapist, including exercises, manual therapy, and modalities like heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation.
- Monitoring Progress: Observe patients during therapy sessions, noting improvements or changes in condition, and report findings to the physical therapist.
- Patient Education: Instruct patients on exercises, proper body mechanics, and how to use therapeutic equipment. Provide guidance on home exercise programs.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure therapy equipment and treatment areas are clean, organized, and ready for use. Inspect and maintain equipment for safety and functionality.
- Documentation: Accurately document patient progress, treatment interventions, and responses in the patient's medical records.
- Collaboration: Work with physical therapists and other healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and treatment plans.
- Compliance: Adhere to all state and federal regulations, professional guidelines, and facility policies regarding patient care and safety.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate’s degree in physical therapy assisting from an accredited program.
- Licensure/Certification: Valid state license or certification as a physical therapy assistant.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work well as part of a team, attention to detail, physical stamina to assist patients with exercises and treatments.
