Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome all patients with a positive and friendly demeanor, creating a warm and professional first impression
- Travel extensively throughout Connecticut, offering coverage and support where it’s needed most
- Represent PTSMC’s culture and values with professionalism and enthusiasm at every location
- Answer phone calls promptly (within three rings) with a helpful, professional approach
- Manage schedules to optimize patient and clinician needs
- Proactively address cancellations and no-shows by recapturing visits and filling open slots with waitlist or new patients
- Complete patient intake and data entry with accuracy and efficiency
- Educate patients about their physical therapy benefits and insurance coverage, addressing any questions
- Handle specific insurance requirements, including referrals and visit limits
- Ensure timely and accurate handling of payments, including collecting co-pays and coinsurance
- Assist with virtual front desk coverage as needed
- Maintain an organized and systematic approach to tasks, including scanning/uploading, and daily communications
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Outstanding customer service skills with a friendly, welcoming personality
- Efficient and accurate data entry abilities
- Excellent telephone and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong multitasking abilities with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and basic file management
- A strong understanding of and alignment with PTSMC’s culture and mission
- Reliable transportation to travel extensively throughout CT
