Verification Representative

Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine Centers is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Verification team. A Verification Representative supports multiple clinics by verifying patient insurance coverage and works closely with front desk staff to ensure a smooth workflow and and outstanding customer service experience. Previous work verifying medical benefits as a primary role is a must. This is a fully remote position. 

Specific Responsibilities include:

• Verify patient insurance coverage within 24 hours of scheduled new patient appointments 
• Enter patient data accurately into EMR system
• Generate patient benefit summary letter and upload to EMR system
• Work closely with and communicate daily with clinic Front Desk staff for effective and efficient systems
• Be a resource for insurance requirement and participation status questions
• Communicate specific insurance authorization requirements to front desk staff
• Manage insurance requirements specific to each carrier
• Meet organization productivity standards

Qualification Requirements:

• High School diploma or the equivalent
• Previous work experience verifying medical benefit coverages and navigating associated websites
• Excellent & accurate data entry skills
• Excellent telephone and interpersonal communication skills
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills 
• Strong computer skills and ability to navigate multiple programs and browsers with ease
• Customer service focused with a friendly, outgoing demeanor 
• Flexibility with work schedule 
• Prompt EMR experience preferred
