Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Intensivist to the Pulmonary/Critical Care group at NYC Health Hospitals/Lincoln. Located just 15 minutes from NYC, Lincoln is an acute care teaching hospital academically affiliated with Weill Medical College of Cornell University.

- Clinical Responsibilities - Critical Care Medicine:
- Provide intensive care unit (ICU) coverage for medical, surgical, and specialty ICUs (as applicable).
- Respond to stroke activations. Perform critical care procedures, including central line placement, arterial lines, intubations, bronchoscopy, chest tubes, and bedside ultrasound.
- Participate in rapid response teams, code blue, and multidisciplinary ICU rounds.
- Manage mechanical ventilation, advanced hemodynamic monitoring, and sepsis protocols.
- Pulmonary Medicine (Inpatient & Outpatient Services, if applicable):
- Provide consultative pulmonary care for inpatients.
- Supervise and interpret PFTs (Pulmonary Function Tests), thoracic imaging, and bronchoscopies. Manage COPD, asthma, lung infections, ILD, pulmonary hypertension, and sleep disorders.
- Participate in interventional pulmonary procedures (if trained and applicable).
- Teaching & Academic Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor Internal Medicine residents, Pulmonary and Critical Care fellows, and medical students.
- Conduct bedside teaching, case-based discussions, and procedural training.
- Participate in curriculum development, journal clubs, and academic conferences.
- Provide direct feedback and evaluations to trainees.3. Research & Quality Improvement
- Engage in hospital-based quality improvement (QI) initiatives related to ICU care, mechanical ventilation, and sepsis management.
- Participate in or lead clinical research, including trials in ARDS, sepsis, and pulmonary diseases.
- Collaborate with hospital leadership to implement best practices in ICU and pulmonary care
- Administrative & Leadership Roles (If applicable)
- Attend departmental meetings and pulmonary/critical care conferences.
- Participate in hospital committees related to ICU management, respiratory care, infection control, or ethics.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including respiratory therapy, palliative care, and infectious disease teams.
