Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Neonatologist to the group at NYC Health Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health (formerly Coney Island Hospital). Join a team of 4 full-time Neonatologists and a Neonatal Hospitalist team to provide 24-hour / 7 day per week in house coverage. South Brooklyn Health is a Level II NICU and we average greater than 1300 births per year. Approximately 1/3rd of all of our newborns are currently being admitted to the NICU. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and NYIT College Of Osteopathic Medicine. Our Neonatologists are involved with teaching in our integrated Pediatric Residency program, as well as teaching medical students from NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine, Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine, and St. George’s University School of Medicine.

Opportunity Details
- To care for newborn and infants in the NICU Hospitalist Service, as well as the Mother Baby Unit, Labor and Delivery units.
- Referring patients to the specialty and sub-specialty clinics as indicated and coordinate the care provided by the specialists.
- To serve as a consultant for patients referred by other physicians in South Brooklyn Health.
- Coordinate the care of specialists as required/needed.
- Work with Neonatal Physician Assistant during the weekdays.
- Supervise the work of Residents and Physician Assistants assigned to work with them.
- Provide quality of care.
- Consult the management protocols, standard textbooks. journals, etc. in their management of patients and will also consult clinic Chiefs and other consultants, as necessary.
- Perform circumcision procedures and care.

Salary : $215,000
