Emergency Medicine - Pediatrics Physician

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding an Emergency Medicine Pediatrics Physician to the group at NYC Health Hospitals/Lincoln. The Hospital is part of NYC Health Hospitals. Lincoln is a designated Level I Trauma and Stroke Center and has Centers of Excellence in all medical specialties, including its award- winning Cancer and Breast Centers. The Tier 2 ,12 bed fully equipped, pediatric Emergency department evaluates around 30000 annual volumes of pediatric patients. We are a group of 14 PEM certified and highly experienced pediatricians including per diem faculty. In addition, we have APPs, pediatric residents, emergency medicine residents and students. We have a separate fast tarck ,a full spectrum of pediatric subspecialists ,24-hour in-house psych-social worker team and support of our inpatient and PICU, NICU group. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with Weill Medical College of Cornell University to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.

• Adheres and conforms to all hospital and departmental guidelines, policies and procedures.
• Consults with other members of the professional staff.
• Gives guidance and direction to the house staff and other members of the healthcare team.
• Provides guidance and participates in the teaching of house staff, in staff conferences, and in research projects as directed.
• Advises the less experienced members of the professional medical staff.
• All other duties as required by the department.

Qualifications

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in pediatric emergency medicine or pediatrics
• License to practice in NYS

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $272,618* (board eligible); $278,063* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $412,000** (board eligible) and $418,000** (board certified), which includes the baseline salary, 401 (k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:

• Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $72,100.

• Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.

• 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
  • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
• Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
• Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
