Certified Professional Coder (Onsite Only)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Certified Professional Coder (CPC®) to join our team in an onsite role. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in minor surgical and general coding. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, problem solving skills and the ability to effectively communicate with insurance providers, patients and staff.

Responsibilities:

· Code surgical and routine encounters accurately using current CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS guidelines

· Ensure proper documentation and coding compliance to maximize reimbursement and reduce denials

· Review operative reports, encounter notes, and related documentation for coding accuracy

· Resolve coding-related claim denials by communicating with payers or following up with providers

· Stay up to date on current coding changes, payer policies, and regulatory requirements

· Collaborate with providers and internal billing staff to clarify documentation as needed

Qualifications:

· Certified Professional Coder (CPC®) – preferred

· Certified Professional Coder Apprentice (CPC-A) - considered

· Minimum 3 years of experience in surgical or general coding – preferred

· Experience with family practice coding

· Proficiency in EHR and billing software

· Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy related to surgical coding

· Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of resolving complex coding issues

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Job Type & Compensation:

· Full-time onsite position

· Salary range: $45,000 – $55,000 annually

· Annual bonus and vacation/personal time available
