Job Responsibilities:
· Responding to emergency calls and providing medical assistance to patients in need.
· Assessing the condition of patients and providing appropriate medical treatment.
· Administering medications and performing procedures specific to protocol.
· Conducting physical examinations and gathering patient medical history.
· Triaging patients based on the severity of their condition.
· Communicating with healthcare professionals, such as doctors and nurses, to provide report on patient status.
· Operating and maintaining emergency medical equipment, including defibrillators and oxygen tanks.
· Transporting patients safely to medical facilities for further treatment.
Experience:
· Previous experience working as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT, AEMT) preferred.
· Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
· Proficiency in performing patient assessments and providing appropriate care.
· Able to handle high-stress situations and make quick decisions.
· Knowledge of durable medical equipment (DME) used in emergency and non-emergency medical situations.
Skills Required:
· Valid EMT certification/license in Ohio
· CPR certification
· Clean driving record with a valid driver’s license
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work well in a team environment.
· Self-motivated.
· Physical stamina to perform job duties, including lifting patients.
