Physicians East, PA is a multi-specialty, multi-campus group based out of Greenville, NC offering a wide range of specialties. Our specialists are on staff at ECU Health, a 900 bed, level one trauma center and the primary teaching hospital for the East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine (ECU-BSOM).

Full time role based at our Greenville Arlington location, Monday-Friday, 8a.m. 5 p.m. Additional hours may be required to meet the needs of the business. Travel to other locations may be required. Weekend work is very rare but can occasionally be necessary.
What You Will Do :
You will be responsible for Effectively and efficiently, under general supervision of the physician, assists with the day-to-day operations of preparing chemo and non-chemo medications in a professional, patient-focused manner.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities required :
Responsible for maintaining adequate supplies, equipment, etc. needed for the day-to-day operations of the Chemo mixing room.Responsible for stocking of all the medications and supplies in the Nucleus.Assists with completing paperwork to drug manufacturers to obtain patient free drugs for those who qualify.Prepares next-day stocking and prepping / cleaning of anti-room space.Nucleus Inventory audited for the station daily.Box up all infusion area biohazard materials safely and effectively.Assists in developing USP 800 standards of practice (SOP) and maintains up to date records of those standards.Demonstrates knowledge of medical / computer equipment and instruments.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and non-verbal).Demonstrates the ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities.Has the ability to appropriately react in emergencies and performs calmly in stressful situationsMaintains high quality standards in care and documentation. Accurately and effectively produces quality work.Maintain competence with the clinical and office information system as appropriate.Consistently ensures accuracy of submission and documentation of charges (Superbill).Adheres to and documents quality control (temp reading and hood pressure readings), infection control, and safety guidelines for equipment and work area dailyAdheres to safety regulations and HIPAA regulations.Compliant with all State, Federal, and professional regulations as well as department rules, policies, and procedural manuals.Maintains a professional atmosphere in the workplace.Maintains department facilities in neat and professional order.Demonstrates ability to work effectively with others.Communicate in a respectful manner with providers, co-workers and customers.Able to work independently, in a team, and under the direct supervision of a manager or provider.Adheres to productivity standards and uses time in a productive, efficient manner.Minimizes overtime and follows proper procedures for overtime requests of the RN Oncology Supervisor / Clinical Nurse Manager.Participates in and maintains record of all continuing education.Participates in process improvement programs.Demonstrates acceptable job knowledge and understanding of methods, materials and procedures.Exercises good judgment and demonstrates ability to analyze and solve problems.Able to perform job duties with minimal supervision and accept responsibility for results.Organizes and prioritizes tasks effectively.Consistently meets deadlines.Meets or exceeds Physicians East behavior standards (Attitude, Communication, Ownership, Privacy, Teamwork, Integrity and Respect).Adheres to Physicians East Attendance Policy.Demonstrates initiative and a willingness to assume new or additional responsibilities.Receptive to changes, new conditions, ideas and suggestions.Performs other duties as requested by the RN Oncology Supervisor / Clinical NurseManager, Physician, Advanced Practitioner Manager.Minimum Requirements :
6 months experience Med tech certification and / or Pharmacy Technician.CPR CertificationAdditional Preferred Eligibility Qualifications :
