Pet Insurance Market/Product Specialist

Physicians Mutual is hiring for a Pet Insurance Market/Product Specialist to help provide leadership in the development, marketing, implementation, monitoring and maintenance of assigned products or markets.

What you will do in this role:

• Coordinate the strategy and all required phases such as market/customer research, policy drafting, and product training
• Ensure the compliance of all aspects of assigned products or markets
• Act as product champion in the absence of the Product Manager
• Assist in the representation of the Department in negotiations with Brokers, Carriers, or other entities involved in joint or sponsored distribution
• Represent the Division or Department Manger in Corporate meetings or presentations as assigned
• Assist Pet Insurance actuaries in development of rate indications and experience analyses

Job Qualifications:

• Ability to think creatively about new and innovative solutions to enhance the Pet Insurance product and/or processes
• Bachelor’s Degree in areas such as business, marketing or insurance or an equivalent level of training/experience is required
• Minimum of 5-10 years insurance related experience including exposure to multiple lines of insurance operations is preferred
• 2 or more years of product development experience is preferred
• Excellent leadership, management and communication skills
• Ability to effectively train and direct employees in other divisions or departments of the company
• Knowledge of insurance industry, related regulations, products, and markets
• Strong planning and organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
