Responsibilities
- Operate laboratory equipment to fabricate lenses and optical devices according to specifications.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on finished products to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with ophthalmologists and optometrists to understand patient needs and provide appropriate optical solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of laboratory procedures and inventory management.
- Assist customers with retail sales by providing knowledgeable recommendations on optical products.
- Stay updated on the latest laboratory techniques and advancements in optical technology.
Requirements
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques and procedures related to optics.
- Knowledge of physiology and anatomy, particularly as it pertains to ophthalmology.
- Experience with quality assurance processes within a laboratory setting.
- Familiarity with CNC machinery is a plus.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in retail sales is advantageous but not mandatory.
