Critical Care Nurse Practitioner
We are seeking a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner (CCNP) that who specializes in managing critically ill patients with complex, multi-organ conditions in intensive care settings. Here are some key responsibilities and duties of a CCNP
Primary Responsibilities:
- Patient Management: Handle a caseload of critically ill patients, performing physical exams, collecting and documenting data, and conducting approved diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Collaboration: Work closely with supervising physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Direct Patient Care: Provide direct clinical services, including prescribing medications and interventions, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and performing therapeutic procedures.
- Emergency Interventions: Initiate necessary emergency interventions to stabilize patients.
- Family-Centered Care: Communicate with patients' families regarding their changing healthcare needs and provide support for family adaptation and coping.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Specialized Skills: Possess specialized skills related to the unique critical care setting, such as ICU, PICU, Neuro ICU, etc.
- Evidence-Based Practice: Utilize evidence-based clinical practice standards and incorporate clinical research findings into patient care.
- Leadership: Contribute to excellence in patient care, research, teaching, and consulting, and provide leadership within the healthcare organization.
