Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner Critical Care to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patients' conditions, including vital signs and symptoms.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Perform advanced procedures such as suture placement and venipuncture.
- Provide care for patients with complex medical needs, including those with infectious diseases and cardiac conditions.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals in a Level I Trauma Center setting.
- Educate patients and their families about health management and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with hospital policies.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities within a teaching hospital environment.
Skills
- Proficient in medication administration and patient assessment techniques.
- Experience in cardiac catheterization procedures is preferred.
- Knowledge of procedures is an asset.
- Strong understanding of hospital medicine practices, particularly in critical care settings.
- Ability to provide compassionate senior care to elderly patients.
- Excellent venipuncture skills for effective blood sample collection.
- Familiarity with protocols for managing infectious diseases.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in high-pressure situations.
