What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapy Aide position at Physicians Practice Enhancement LLC?
Assists physical therapists in the provision of direct patient care within the parameters established by the State Board of Physical Therapy.
Responsibilities:
- Highly motivated, reliable, energetic and caring team member with the ability to multitask in a fast pace, outpatient orthopedic physical therapy clinic.
- Requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients, family members and staff.
- Responsible for the set up and cleaning of the treatment area for patients.
- Responsible for cleaning of patient used items (towels, pillow cases, etc.)
- Assists patients in the performance of therapeutic exercise under the direct supervision of the therapists.
- Assists with the organization, maintenance and ordering of equipment and supplies.
- Assists with Front desk duties including professional answering of the phone, scheduling of patients, collection of co-pays, and overall clinic functions.
- Maintains a neat, professional image at all times.
Requirements:
- Prior Medical PT Aide experience preferred
- A background in exercise science or personal training a plus.
- CPR certification and adheres to HIPPA regulations
- Prior patient experience necessary
- Knowledge of insurance and front office skills a plus
- People skills a must
- Multi-tasking team player
- Computer literate with experience including Microsoft Office. MicroMD software experience a plus
- Strong Organizational Skills
- Must be flexible in hours
