What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Receptionist position at Physicians' Primary Care of Southwest Florida?
Physicians’ Primary Care of Southwest Florida is a premier multi-specialty primary care practice with locations in Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Estero, and Lehigh Acres. We are currently seeking a Full-Time Front Desk Receptionist for our Adult Medicine practice in Estero, FL. This position is Monday through Friday, day shift.
Sample of Duties:
- Print patient encounter forms
- Verify the accuracy of patient information and insurance plans
- Assist patients with account questions or refers to the appropriate area
- Collect patient balances and co-pays
- Assist patients with account/balance questions or provides referral to Financial Counselor
- Maintain accurate deposit information to include reports and encounter forms
- Reconcile daily cash and maintains balances each day
- Maintain the strictest confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations
Minimum Requirements:
- Great attention to detail and the ability to record information accurately
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to develop and maintain a good rapport and a cooperative working relationship with providers, staff, and patients
- Knowledge of insurances, referrals, and eligibility a must
- One year of medical office experience or a combination of medical education and office experience needed
