What are the responsibilities and job description for the Healthcare Revenue Cycle Analyst position at Physicians Revenue Group?
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze medical records and patient information to ensure accurate coding and billing
- Assign appropriate medical codes
- Verify insurance coverage and process claims for reimbursement
- Communicate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary documentation and resolve billing issues
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
- Stay updated on changes in medical coding guidelines and regulations
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely billing

Experience:
- 1 to 3 years of previous experience in medical billing or coding is required
- Proficiency in medical terminology, including knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and disease processes
- Familiarity with medical billing software systems (EPIC) and electronic health records (EHR)
- Knowledge of DRG (Diagnosis Related Group) coding is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing processes
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
