Surgical Center Administrator -Full-Time, on-site located in Rancho Cucamonga, California
Position Summary:
As a Surgical Center Administrator, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the administrative and operational functions of the surgical center. You will be responsible for managing daily office activities, coordinating patient care, overseeing scheduling, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This role requires strong organizational and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and support staff.

Job Responsibilities (include the following, but not limited to):
- Oversee all aspects of office operation.
- As Manager, you should set examples of professional behavior.
- Follow, implement, and enforce the policies and procedures in the company Employee Handbook.
- Assist and direct employees to complete their job assignments in a timely and professional manner, consistent with the policies and procedures of Physician Support Systems, Inc., and their clients.
- Accurately approve employee timecards on a daily and weekly basis. Ensure PTO requests are processed, and coverage is designated.
- Maintain office hours as dictated by corporate. As Office Manager you must be on-site during regular office hours. Manager will be responsible for office efficiency and operation.
- Provide “Performance Evaluations" to staff. Each completed review must be reviewed in advance and signed off by the Human Resources Manager prior to review with the employee.
- Ensure that all employee information remains private and confidential as per company policy and procedures.
- Monitor supplies and equipment essential to office operation. It is essential to be cost effective when purchasing supplies and equipment.
- Meets with Executive Director and/or Human Resources Manager to go over office issues and/or suggestions as needed. Offer suggestions and solutions to problems.
- Participates in Managers Meetings, General Staff Meetings, Safety Meetings, or other applicable meetings whenever possible.
- Implement and monitor all compliance regulations, site audits and employee in-service.
- Oversee completion of all equipment, drug and service logs as required for site audit. Any deficiencies must be brought to the Executive Director’s attention.
- Interface with company clients in a positive and professional manner.
- Participates in interviewing applicants.
- Respond to complaints from employees and / or patients.
- Assume tasks and responsibilities as needed to maintain good workflow and teamwork.
- Secure building before leaving at the end of the day.
- Sign off product delivery receipts and forward them to Accounting Dept.
- Prepare Daily Cash Box/ Count daily deposit.
- Open and Close Office.
- Interface with Computer Support Team for the efficient operation of the office.
- Timecard reconciliation as necessary for payroll.
- Keep record of employees’ attendance, ensuring proper coverage of office at all times.
- Correlate time off to ensure the office has sufficient coverage at all times.
- Process for approval of all Absence Forms or Time Off Requests for staff reporting to you.
- Implement any necessary emergency measures for the safety of the employees and patients alike.
- Follow Physician Support Systems, Inc. Safety Program at all times.
- Additional duties as assigned by your supervisor / manager within the scope of the company.
Qualifications / Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business management, or a related field.
- Previous experience in healthcare administration, with a focus on surgical services preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong leadership and proven supervisory skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong patient and employee relationships.
- Ability to work independently as well as a team player is required.
- Excellent attention to detail and highly organized.
- This position requires scheduling flexibility, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Ability to work with strict time deadlines.
- Ability to multitask with ease, simultaneously working on various projects/tasks.
- Basic knowledge and experience with filing, computer skills, fax machine, photocopier, 10 key calculator and multiple line telephone systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Compensation:
- This is a full-time, salary position with the pay range of $95,000- $125,000 per year which depends on several variables that are unique to each candidate, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, relevant education, training, licenses/certifications, etc.
