Billing Specialist
Status : Full Time
Position Responsibilities :
Follows HIPAA guidelines in the handling of client information
Ensure authorization paperwork is received from client
Obtaining insurance preauthorization when appropriate
Coordinate and obtain all necessary materials for insurance billing
Very knowledgeable on medical billing codes
Microsoft Office skills required
Good attention to detail in data entry and documentation
Good verbal and written communication skills
Good telephone and client relation skills
Ability to organize and maintain records and materials
Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision
More experienced insurance billing specialists work with minimal direction and oversight

Education :
High School diploma or GED
AA degree / BA / BS degree preferred
Experience :
Medical Billing : 5 years (Preferred)
