Responsibilities:
Real-time Documentation:
Observe patient encounters alongside physicians and document all relevant patient information, including medical history, clinical findings, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions, directly into the EMR system during patient visits.
Ensure Accuracy and Completeness of Medical Records:
Maintain thorough, accurate, and up-to-date documentation that meets clinical and legal standards. Document patient exams, procedures, lab results, diagnoses, and prescribed medications in real-time.
Coordinate with Healthcare Providers:
Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure all documentation is accurate and complete. Assist with updating patient records as needed.
Follow HIPAA Guidelines:
Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations, ensuring all health information remains private and secure.
Streamline Workflow:
Support the physician in improving efficiency during patient visits by managing documentation and ensuring that patient charts are updated without delay. This helps reduce the administrative burden on clinicians.
