Physiofixx is a private outpatient Physical Therapy practice. We are looking for a patient care coordinator/receptionist to join our team who will have potential for growth. We believe that the position of patient care coordinator is the most important role in the business as you will be the first step in our client's and patient's journey-the entry point to the business! Your role directly impacts both patient outcomes and the success of the business!
You must be comfortable discussing treatment costs and payment options with potential patients and clients.
You MUST have the desire to learn and be teachable to go through the training provided.
Responsibilities Include:
- Performing front office tasks such as managing the patient schedule, answering phones, checking emails, sending and receiving faxes, processing mail
- Managing incoming new patients and their journey with Physiofixx
- Daily communication with patients, other medical providers and clinical staff
- Creating and managing electronic medical charts; knowledge of ICD-10 codes
- Presenting treatment plans to the patient and managing treatment plans in coordination with the Physical Therapy team
- Accepting and entering payments, billing, generating receipts and statements
- Providing an amazing customer experience for our clients and patients
- Secondary duties include occasional assistance in the back office assisting the Physical Therapists with patients, maintaining the cleanliness of the clinic and treatment areas, marketing events.
Qualifications Include:
- Experience interacting with patients in the Physical Therapy, Chiropractic, Medical or Dental field.
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- The ability to multi-task
- Excellent follow-through on delegated tasks and projects
- The ability to work proactively as well as function as part of a team
- Training will be provided but must be comfortable with the use of computer and internet-based systems for all daily work activities including Google
