The Customer Account Manager is responsible for ensuring customer purchase orders are processed and managed until shipment, transitioning them from new development to launch or managing the reorder. They will also communicate with customers to finalize BOMs, spec sheets and accurately enter purchase orders into the MRP system. Analyze supply and demand to generate material requirements, manage delivery schedules, and prepare weekly status reports. Coordinate with the scheduling and shipping departments, maintain data integrity, and close orders in the MRP system once completed.
This position is fully in office to start but once authorized, offers the flexibility to work remote up to two days a week.

The Customer Account Manager is responsible for ensuring customer purchase orders are processed and managed until shipment, transitioning them from new development to launch or managing the reorder. Role and Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for the client’s needs related to their purchase order.
- Ensure that the customer’s purchase orders are processed through the company’s procedures and managed throughout the process until they are shipped out.
- Review purchase order for accuracy including but not limited to pricing, part numbers and ship date
- Ensure the purchase orders are transitioned from PD to commercialization.
- Communicate with the customers to finalize BOM’s and enter them into the MRP system including part numbers for new items.
- Ensure purchase orders are entered into the MRP system with accuracy and all detail needed
- Analyze supply/demand to generate material requirements and enter purchase orders with timeframes to share with the customers.
- Manage all communication with the customers for life cycle of the launch, purchase order and business relationship.
- Prepare weekly status reports for customers on order status and get feedback on deliveries.
- Communicate with the scheduling team to project order run date.
- Constantly maintain integrity of the data in the MRP system including dates of component deliveries and orders due dates.
- Work with the shipping/receiving department on components delivery and finished goods shipments.
- Provide required documentation to the customers on order shipment confirmation or any related documents.
- Close orders in the MRP system once completed.
- Work closely with Purchasing, Quality, Research Development, Finance and Operations to successfully execute purchase order.
- Bachelor’s degree is preferable but not required
- 13 years of customer service is preferable but not required
- Project management experience preferable
- Experience in Microsoft Office and MRP systems
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to apply quality and practical business sense to resolve operational issues and offer suggestions on how to overcome them.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as bill of materials, specification sheets, packaging instructions and customer documents.
- Proven ability to multitask and pivot on priorities comfortably.
- Must be able to work well individually and with a team.
- Must be kind and courteous to assure the best customer service is provided.
- Must be able to pass a basic math test if requested.
- Must be able to read, write, communicate in, and understand English.
