What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate/Forklift Driver position at Phytogenx Incorporated?
The Warehouse Worker is responsible for unloading and loading trucks, checking in product, and ensuring it is stored correctly in the warehouse. The Warehouse Worker must also be familiar with warehouse management software and equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks.
Role and Responsibilities
- Adheres to company policy for PPE.
- Inspects all incoming shipments for paperwork discrepancies, quality, and damages.
- Visually examines all carriers delivering and picking up at the facility.
- Unloads and loads trucks for incoming and outbound shipments.
- Maintains inventory of components.
- Labels incoming components when received.
- Delivers paperwork to appropriate personnel as required.
- Places incoming raw materials and components into specific locations.
- Preserves a clean and safe work area.
- Pulls components for use in production.
- Returns unused components from production back to inventory.
- Stages and prepares finished product for outbound shipments.
- Fills and operates cardboard Bailer and recycling bins.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Knowledge and use of Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication division.
- Ability to drive and use industrial equipment like pallet jacks and forklifts.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
- Ability to work and understand computers or work w/Tablet.
Physical Demands
- Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack.
- Able and willing to stand, bend, twist, squat as necessary for long periods of time.
- Willing and able to lift at least 50lbs and up to 100lbs frequently.
- Willing and able to push 75lbs and more frequently.
- Work extended hours when needed
