We are excited to announce that with our continued growth in the Albuquerque and Rio Rancho areas we are looking to invite a few new tutors to join our team! Current available positions include a general education tutor for K-8th grade, a reading specialist, a middle/high school math tutor, and potentially a Spanish tutor. We are looking for rockstar educators who are reliable, self-directed, and ready to make a difference in the lives of students in New Mexico. We are a local business! All positions are independent contractor positions, giving you flexibility with scheduling and number of hours worked.
Duties:
- Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions to students in various subjects and grade levels, commuting to their homes and/or conducting sessions online according to client preference.
- Assess students' academic needs and develop personalized lesson plans to address their specific learning goals.
- Utilize effective teaching strategies and instructional materials to facilitate student understanding and engagement.
- Assist students with homework assignments, test preparation, and project completion.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to parents or guardians on a regular basis.
- Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment that promotes student success.
- Implement classroom management techniques to ensure a productive and focused tutoring session.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with students, preferably in a tutoring or educational setting.
- Strong knowledge in the subject area(s) being tutored.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
- Strong organizational skills for lesson planning and tracking student progress.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed.
