We have an immediate opening for a Precision Grinder to work in our advanced manufacturing assembly department based in our Hopkinton, MA location. This is a full-time role, Monday-Friday, 7am-3 : 30pm. This position will be responsible for the build and assembly of precision machinery, automation systems, and motion control systems. We are looking for a candidate who has experience in Precision Surface Grinding with very stringent dimensional and flatness tolerances.
Overtime is available.
Responsibilities :
You will be primarily responsible for flat grinding components used in our air bearing product line.
- Own precision flat grinding operations using surface grinders (Okamoto)
- Transform single piece prototypes to low volume production
- Perform in-process and final inspection on parts and verify that all print tolerances and specifications are met
- Operate independently and process parts from prints
- Maintain compliance to production schedules, cost requirements and performance specifications
- Follow 5S and lean manufacturing principles and practices in an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment
