Job Title : Manual Tester
Job Overview : We are looking for a Manual Tester with 4 years of experience to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of manual testing principles and methodologies, along with a proven track record of identifying and documenting software defects. This role offers an opportunity to work on exciting projects in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities :
Develop and execute manual test cases to verify software functionality and identify defects
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and develop comprehensive test plans
Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and test reports
Conduct regression testing to ensure software stability and reliability after code changes
Perform exploratory testing to uncover hidden software issues and improve overall product quality
Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews
Work closely with developers to triage and prioritize bugs for resolution
Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in manual testing techniques and tools
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
4 years of experience in manual software testing, preferably in a product development environment
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, techniques, and best practices
Experience with test management tools such as JIRA or similar
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Good to have :
Experience in OTT / Media domain is good.
Good knowledge of streaming protocols (DASH, HLS) and testing Live, VOD, DVR streaming.
