Job Title : In-House Counsel

Position Overview :
We seek a highly skilled and motivated Attorney with expertise in tax and contract law. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in providing strategic legal counsel, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and drafting and negotiating complex contracts. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely while collaborating with a dedicated and dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities :
Provide expert legal advice on federal, state, and international tax matters, including compliance, strategy, and risk mitigation.
Represent the company in tax disputes, audits, and litigation to resolve issues effectively.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable legal standards and alignment with business objectives.
Conduct in-depth research and analysis of tax laws, regulations, and policies to support decision-making.
Licensed to practice in Missouri (preferred).
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to develop tax strategies that optimize financial outcomes.
Stay updated on legislative changes, case law, and emerging issues in tax law to anticipate potential impacts on the business.
Support organizational initiatives by providing legal insights on operational and financial strategies.
Partner with leadership to ensure business practices adhere to tax and contract law requirements.
Qualifications :
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
Minimum of 5 years of experience specializing in tax and contract law.
Strong understanding of federal and state tax codes, regulations, and compliance requirements.
Proven experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex contracts.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal professionals.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
Proficiency in using remote collaboration tools and managing a remote workload.
