Role Overview
We have an immediate opening for a Test Engineer to work in our manufacturing engineering department based in our Hopkinton, MA location. This is a full-time role, Monday-Friday. This position will be responsible for the final testing of precision machinery, automation systems, and motion control systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform product verification testing in a production environment. Tests are performed using a variety of precision measurement instruments, including laser interferometers, autocollimators, force gauges, height gauges, and indicator probes.
- Perform setup and operation of PC-based servo motion control systems.
- Create final test reports to be included in delivery to customers.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems found during testing.
- Develop, modify, and use Python and LabVIEW test automation programs (Especially Python).
- Support production activities as required to achieve the goals of the entire department, with a focus on on-time delivery and excellent quality.
- Report failures and defects via company quality processes.
- Cooperate with others in a team effort to achieve quality, safety, and productivity goals.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering on procedure writing, fixture development, process improvements, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and any other measures needed to drive continuous improvement within the group.
- Support the Service group by performing incoming analysis of returned defective products/systems.
- Perform data analysis to support SPC, KPI tracking, and Product Development.
Education & Experience
- BS Degree in mechanical, electrical, controls, or software engineering.
- This is an entry-level position, however, candidates with up to 5 years relevant experience may be considered.
Skills & Requirements
- Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform complex mechanical tasks and perform precision alignments and measurements.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work activities.
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read, edit, and use Python and LabVIEW software.
- Ability to design digital control systems based on frequency and time domain analysis (desirable but not required).
- Automotive experience desirable but not required.

Salary : $80,000 - $95,000
