What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nursery Laborer/Skid Loader Operator position at Piala's Nursery & Garden Shop, Inc.?
Piala's Nursery & Garden Shop, Inc. is currently seeking General Laborers for our nursery. Candidates MUST be able to safely operate a skid loader.
This position is ideal for a self-driven individual that is willing to learn quickly and able to take direction from management. The General Laborer position is physically demanding, requiring manual work in all weather conditions. Horticulture and/or farming experience is ideal, but not required. Compensation package is based on experience.
Piala's Nursery & Garden Shop, Inc. has been offering landscape services including design, construction, garden maintenance, and a retail nursery for over 40 years.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Current and valid Driver's License required
- Hold a Pesticide Applicator License; if one is not currently held, must be willing to obtain and maintain a Pesticide Applicator License
- Operate a tractor and/or skid loader to complete job duties; Must have experience experience operating skid loaders
- Tend to all aspects of plant care, including weeding and watering
- A positive attitude
- Physical condition that allows you to meet the demands of daily tasks, including the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance
- Availability to work within a flexible schedule including but not limited to Saturdays and/or Sundays from April through October
