Job Summary: As a Runner at Locanda Ischia, you will play a critical role in ensuring smooth and efficient service by delivering food from the kitchen to the dining area. You will work closely with our kitchen and waitstaff to make sure that every order is served promptly and accurately. This position requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the appropriate tables in a timely manner.
- Ensure that food orders are correct and complete before serving to guests.
- Assist servers in carrying and delivering orders to guests, ensuring they have everything they need.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area and kitchen.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down the dining area before and after service.
- Help with any additional tasks as needed, such as refilling water glasses or providing guests with condiments.
- Food Handler Certification is required, or the candidate must be willing to obtain it by the first day of employment.
- Previous experience in a restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to assist both guests and team members.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
