What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Manager position at Piatt County Nursing Home?
Piatt County Nursing Home is a dynamic healthcare environment with 150 employees. The home is currently seeking a full-time HR Manager. This person will report directly to the Financial Director, and will be responsible for the following.
HUMAN RESOURCES
- Manage Pre-Employment Process
- Manage Unemployment Claims
- Respond to and file worker’s compensation claims
- Point of contact for the Department Heads and employees with HR related concerns or questions.
- Schedule and coordinate employee orientations
- Handle Legal issues related to HR concerns
- Direct facility policy related to State and Federal employment laws and regulations
PAYROLL ADMINISTRATION
- Enter new hires and terminations into payroll system
- Manage all employee payroll changes for the employees, such as address change, direct deposit change, phone numbers & email address changes, etc.
- Manage time system updates
- Process payroll bi-weekly
- Track attendance and issue disciplines as needed
BENEFITS
- Enter new hires into the online benefits portal
- Enter pay changes into the benefits portal when received
- Track employee eligibility for health insurance and retirement plans and follow up with employees on enrollment as needed
- Answer all employee benefit questions
- Enroll, change and terminate employee in benefits systems timely

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
Minimum of 2 years experience in HR management.
SHRM Certified or able to obtain certification within a year
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $72,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
