What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Director position at Piatt County Nursing Home?
The Piatt County Nursing Home is a 100 bed, geriatric only facility seeking an experienced manager with a strong maintenance background. This position supervises a 5-member maintenance team. This position only focuses on maintenance and grounds keeping;_ it does not _include any responsibilities for housekeeping, laundry, or transportation which are entirely handled by other other departments. The Piatt County Nursing Home has a strong relationship with its vendors and service providers, so that equipment and services are always available.
In the last year the physical planet has had the following updates: Full overhaul of electrical system, whole facility diesel generator, HVAC air circulation system, updated plumbing for hot water system with 3 on demand water heaters, state of the art silver and copper water filtration system.
Job expectations for Maintenance Director include but are not limited to:
· Working closely with the Executive Director by providing clear information related to maintenance concerns, their cost, and recommendations for possible solutions.
· Provide hands-on supervision and emergency operation of heating/air
conditioning system, boilers, generators, fire safety equipment, rooftop equipment, electrical system, plumbing system, nurse call system, and all building needs
· Implement and monitor the Preventative Maintenance Program
· Monitor work order requests to ensure work is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
· Maintain Fire and Safety system and equipment according to Federal and State
regulatory requirements
· Responsible for Central Supply inventory system, receiving and stocking of supplies
· Responsible for ordering supplies
· In the event of inclement weather or other emergency situations, the Maintenance
Director will work additional hours to ensure the safety of our residents and staff
· Other duties as assigned
