We’ve cultivated a loyal following of wood-fired foodies who enjoy our delicious Neapolitan pizza in our uniquely, intimate environment.

We have a vacant spot for a well-organized and committed dishwasher. Our culinary environment is fast-paced and we expect you to be able to work as part of a team. Your main duties will include removing dishes (plates and flatware) from the tables and washing them. In addition, you will assist in the preparation of food items, when dishes are caught up.

Our goal is to employ a person with excellent time management and communication skills. You should be able to prioritize tasks. You will be working in a kitchen for most of your workday. This means that you will also have to abide by food safety procedures and regulations.

JOB DUTIES

• Maintaining a clean and well-organized working environment
• Bussing tables to collect soiled plates and flatware
• Maintaining the availability of clean dishes at all times
• Cleaning kitchen appliances and machines
• Helping other team members to unload and store deliveries
• Assist other staff members with tasks when the need arises (PREP)
• Adhere to food safety procedures and regulations
• Taking out the trash
• Rinsing garbage cans

DISHWASHER JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Must have minimal work experience as a dishwasher
• Must be proficient in operating with different types of dishes
• Must know and follow all food safety procedures
• Must have communication skills
• Must be able to prioritize tasks

WHAT YOU NEED

• Periods of standing and walking (5 to 7hrs)
• Ability to squat, kneel, bend, and reach frequently
• Ability to frequently carry heavy plates, glassware, and other dinnerware (30-50lb)
• Positive communication with guests using effective listening skills and asking thoughtful questions

Piatto was founded to nurture the culinary art of crafting Neapolitan pizza. Our pizza is handmade with slow risen dough, baked in a wood-fired oven that was hand built in Naples, Italy. Our pizza is soft, light, and pliable. Charring along the cornicioné (crust) is a telltale sign of a Neapolitan pizza that has been baked correctly, at 900° in 60 to 90 seconds.
