Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparation and execution of the commissioning, trial run, acceptance testing and inspection/measurements works.
- Fully compliant with the site-specific rules, safety regulations and environmental protection measures.
- Active participation in the daily management of all commissioning meetings and activities.
- Responsible for directing the commissioning support to include technicians and craft labor provided to support the commissioning activity.
- Prepare, manage, perform, coordinate and monitor the commissioning of the specified systems in a safe and timely manner.
- Perform commissioning per specifications and engineering documents, taking into account the safety instructions, environmental protection measures and local regulations.
- Support the safe operation of the plant that include site rules, safety regulations, shift plan, shift log from Installation until COD.
- Support the turnover of systems from Installation to commissioning and from commissioning to the customer in accordance with current procedure/work instruction.
- Work from open item systems lists under his/her responsibility.
- Ensure commissioning, operation, quality, record and feedback documents are issued.
- Manage the Red/Green Report.
- Advise the Project Manager of the commissioning staff planning, ensuring 100% resource utilization.
- Ensure all commercial and technical deviations are reported with a corresponding quality record and are followed up on through completion.
- Implement the necessary EHS procedures within the scope of work to include preparation of method statements, risk analyses, and safety walks.
- Ensure that subcontractors are following all site EHS requirements.
- Flush all HRSG systems, function group start up and adjustments.
- Responsible for overseeing HRSG cleaning, blow out and restoration.
- Oversee HRSG start up in manual and automated control mode, part load and base load adjustments and tuning.
- Preparation and execution of HRSG tests, performance tests and reliability run.
- Checking the HRSG system using the "Process and Instrumentation Diagrams" (P&ID)
- Support setting and testing the HRSG instrumentation to include pressure and temperature transmitter, vibration detector and position switch.
- Support logical check to include manipulation of the system on site and safety function test.
Job Requirements:
- Proven capability and knowledge in the commissioning of combined cycle gas turbines and HRSG.
- Demonstrated technical knowledge of Gas Power Plant operation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with all levels of personnel.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects.
- Ability to develop, document, plan, market, and execute programs.
Education / Experience:
- High School Diploma required.
- Installing 7HA.02 Large frame 7 series strongly preferred
- 15 years relevant work experience in a similar role within power industry.
- A valid state issued driver’s license.
